Fellow members of the Maple Corner Community Center:
Please note that a special meeting will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Maple Corner Community Center to consider a proposal that MCCC purchase 20 shares of the Maple Corner Community Store as part of the community-wide effort to buy the store and keep it in business.
The total cost of the investment for MCCC would be $10,000 — a special appropriation not listed in the fiscal 2020 MCCC budget, which was approved earlier this fall.
The board was asked to consider making the 20-share investment at a special meeting this past Thursday. The board voted unanimously, 5-0, to support such an investment, but also agreed final approval should come from full community center membership.
